Rebecca Sutch
Rebecca was raised in Southern California until high school, when she and her family moved to Coarsegold, near Yosemite National Park. After graduation, she moved to the Seattle area and eventually found herself in Bellingham, WA – her true home.
She didn’t have a traditional path. For eight years following high school, health struggles – with medical bills to match – heartbreak, and grief made a degree and a career seem impossible. Until one day, she broke down – and rebuilt the next day. An essential part of this renewal was rediscovering her love of reading. She found a piece of herself on every page and puzzled them together with each turn.
After lots of hard work, she found herself healthier than ever, enrolled in college, and thrilled by all the ways she could use her skills and love for writing to build a career – and a life – for herself that had long seemed impossible. Now, she spends her days typing away, running and biking trails to Bellingham’s many stunning viewpoints, and celebrating every milestone along the way – no matter how “late” they may be.
